Looking like it was pushed off the assembly line yesterday, this 2008 Shelby GT500 king of the road was released in 2008 in celebration of Shelbys 40th anniversary, only 1,011 were produced that year! This small production number as well as the silver with blue stripe combo make this GT500 extremely rare. The K.R boasted 540HP from a 5.4L supercharged V8, which is about 40HP more than a normal GT500 paired to a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission. This new horsepower number is achieved by using a new cold-air intake, ford racing exhaust, short throw shifter and a new 3.73 rear axle. The K.R features stiffer springs, shocks and thicker anti-roll bars for enhanced body control and sharper turn-in. The interior is beautiful and comes with Shelby embossed headrests, special graphics and 40th anniversary dash plate. Exterior changes compared to a normal GT500 are significant. The K.R comes with two hood pins, a large functional hood scoop, a carbon fiber hood and front splitter. This is a one owner car and has been meticulously cared for. Only driven 1,785 miles, that's less than 150 miles per year! This vehicle is in like-new condition, and you would be hard pressed to find another as well-kept as this!
