About 2008 Acura RDX The 2008 Acura RDX crossover utility vehicle combines cutting-edge technology, advanced styling and innovative performance. The Acura RDX delivers the luxury automaker's first-ever turbocharged engine and the agility of Super Handling All-Wheel Drive for sports sedan-like handling with SUV utility. The 2008 RDX's turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter 16-valve, DOHC i-VTEC inline four-cylinder engine generates 240 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque. The variable flow turbocharger is said to provide an exceptionally broad powerband with virtually no turbo lag. The five-passenger RDX is also available with a Technology Package that includes a 10 speaker Acura/ELS Surround Premium Sound System with multi-format six-disc DVD-Audio changer, AM/FM tuner, and XM Satellite Radio. Designed by audio engineer Elliot Scheiner, the ELS Surround Audio system closely approximates the in-studio experience for recorded music. The Technology Package also includes the AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with Real Time Traffic, the Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, rearview camera and a GPS-linked, solar-sensing, dual-zone, automatic climate control system. For 2008, the RDX receives even more technology with the addition of standard HandsFreeLink Bluetooth connectivity. A new two-position driver's memory seat and auto-dimming mirror are also added to all RDX models.
