After it's just-completed full restoration, this car is in near mint condition and has only 35,355 miles. This Cambiocorsa is a wonderful example of Maserati's legacy as a purveyor of transcontinental grand touring coupes. The 2002-2007 Maserati Coupe was a critical success for the resurging brand. The Coupe blends beauty and power by taking sensuously sculpted bodywork penned by the legendary designer Giugiaro and underpinning with a robust 4.2-liter V-8 jointly developed with Ferrari. The current Owner has invested in a complete custom restoration of the vehicle, including exterior body and paint, new ground effects, hood vent, and rear spoiler, as well as interior improvements to seats and belts. The car is mechanically perfect. It comes equipped with a new clutch and new 18 Continental Tires. It has been garage kept and regularly serviced. The interior is a selection of matching black leathers, grey leather piping, and Alcantara trim (seats) which cover the upper dashboard, door panels, black carbon fiber steering wheel, center sections, and the black carbon fiber backed adjustable racing seats. The Coupe Ferrari engine is 4.2 Liter DOHC 32-Valve V8. The transmission is a Formula One-inspired Cambiocorsa (CC) using manual paddle shifters on the steering wheel and automated gearbox with a push button to switch to automatic driving if desired. The Coupe originally is equipped with 390 horsepower and a top speed of 186 miles per hour. It has a light alloy double wishbone suspension. The rear suspension is fitted with a toe-in regulator bar which enhances the precision of the drive train and provides balanced cornering. The front suspension layout incorporates anti-dive features to prevent nose-diving when braking. The suspension system is completed by front and rear anti-roll bars. Driving stability is provided by Maserati Stability Program (MSP) which became controls the engine and brakes to help the driver control the vehicle in extreme driving situations. The wheels employ a high-performance Brembo braking system with light alloy four-piston calipers and cross-drilled large ventilating brake discs. A number of significant professional upgrades have been made to this car to further improve performance. These includes a Drive by Wire Enhancement Module Kit (Formula Dynamics, $1,500, which dramatically improves clutch wear as well as shift speed and throttle use), extensive exhaust system upgrades ( FabSpeed Motorsports 4000 Total Secondary Cat Bypass Pipes, Resonator Bypass X-pipe, Maxiflow Exhaust System) adding significantly to the car's horsepower, torque, and enhancing the smooth incomparable exhaust note which is so unique to Maserati. New racing seats in black leather and Alcantara that match the car's original black leather stitched interior (Sparco SPX Carbon Reclining Seats, $6,200) along with driver side street harness have been installed to heighten the sporting ambiance and overall driving experience. New custom stitched black leather and carbon fiber floor mats have also been added (ExotiCare). The car includes all Maserati books, keys, battery tender, and the original Maserati infotainment system.
