The Tiguan and Atlas now have a little brother. The 2022 Taos is a subcompact SUV though one that’s smartly packaged to maintain sizable interior proportions. Now, I’ve been running this little guy all over the place this week – through the mountains of New England, taking it on daytrips, etc. and it’s clear: VW has yet another winner in their growing SUV stable.
You know what you don’t see much of in this small SUV segment? A 3rd row of seating. And you won’t find one in my Tiguan either…VW reserves it for the front-wheel drive model. So here are the vitals. The ID.4 is rear-wheel drive which, at least for the time being, makes it fairly unique.
